Grand Hotel Playa

Everything smelled bad, and the beds and bathrooms were dirty. The food tasted bad too, and guests with allergies have to pay an extra €10. The doors feel like they'll break if you touch them. 0/10.

The family suite was beautiful and spacious, and the hotel is well located for exploring the area. But there wasn't even a kettle in the room. With no ramps, getting a stroller in and out was extremely difficult, and we had to lift it with two people every time. There is a wheelchair lift, but we couldn't use it. The downstairs playroom was disappointing since the wooden toys weren't meant to be touched. Strollers aren't allowed in the restaurant either, which made things awkward for families. Dinner took at least an hour and a half and we had to choose it the evening before. The food was tasty, but we often found expired vegetables at the buffet. The menu wasn't in English, and most staff couldn't speak English, so communication was very hard. Staff were generally indifferent, and the woman with glasses at reception, who also manages a five-star hotel in the mountains, was particularly arrogant. The lobby was uncomfortably cold despite the hot weather outside, and the pool area had no shade. This doesn't meet four-star standards, and families with children should definitely avoid it. Not worth the money.

We're back for our second stay and are very happy with the service. The Novaks, who have spent their holidays here for decades, recommended the hotel to us. Many thanks, Ivan Hidvegi from Hungary.

The breakfast buffet was the best part for me, so tasty and with loads to choose from. The staff were really friendly, and the clean rooms looked just like the pictures. The beach is only 20 metres away, with beach bars and restaurants all around.
