Hotel Ilma

This is my fourth stay around Lake Garda, and I’d put this hotel among the top two I’ve visited. From the room, the lake views are beautiful, and the hotel itself is very spacious, clean, and well maintained. Reception and pool staff were extremely welcoming and spoke excellent English. There are lakeside restaurants nearby and a bike rental shop just a short walk away. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with quick, attentive service. Highly recommended.

The view from the room was lovely, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Fabulous place, I loved everything about this hotel.

We’re frequent travelers, and we’ve never been treated with this much disrespect. The owner’s response was openly insulting and unprofessional, and the hotel gave us no notice before cancelling our reservation. My husband had provided a valid credit card twice, with payment meant to be made on arrival. We also have proof the card was active and funded, so there was no valid reason for the cancellation. The communication and management’s behavior were unacceptable. If basic decency and a worry-free vacation matter to you, avoid this place. This is not how hospitality should work.

The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean, though small and furnished with old furniture. The hotel seems to rely on its good location. The woman at reception was really rude and arrogant, and shouldn’t be representing the hotel or speaking to customers.
