The cave/cellar was a phenomenal, tastefully unusual place to get engaged, and we’ll never forget it. Villa Romantica is only 1km from the town center, with stunning views of the mountains of Riva del Garda. The modern rooms were spotless and had a romantic feel. There was plenty of room even on rainy days, and the on-site restaurants were beautiful for dinner.

The staff were really gentle with both us and my dog, who wasn’t feeling too well. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a drink and to enjoy the view, and we had a great experience with a lovely look over the surrounding area. Thanks so much, we’d love to come back. P. S. The location is beautiful and the beach is nice, so the hotel has a lot going for it. Some of the younger staff were friendly too. But there’s a lot of room for improvement. Many staff members were unfriendly, with no smiles, and we had a specific upsetting, rude incident when we needed parking help. At breakfast, staff seemed irritated if you didn’t do things exactly as expected. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms. We assumed there would be when booking, and with temperatures above comfortable levels, we left a day early. Maintenance could use a lot of attention as well. With air conditioning and proper professional training for staff, I’d have given four stars. Those things matter too much here, so I can only give two.

Dinner was really fresh and delicious. The place is quiet and beautifully set near the beach, and dining there felt much more personal and quaint than the huge restaurants in town with endless rows of tables. It was also nice to support a family-run business in such a touristy town.

After walking to see a waterfall, I stopped for a refreshing beer. The waterfall itself was a bit disappointing since it was all cordoned off and safety secured, but the service was every bit as good as the beer.
