Casa Matarazzo

Franco made sure we had useful ideas for places to eat and visit, both around Lipari and on the other islands. We stayed at Casa Matarazzo in August and were welcomed so warmly. Our room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. On our last day, Franco even helped with our luggage, so we could make the most of our holiday. We felt right at home with him at Casa Matarazzo! ☺️

Franco provided a lovely, practical room with all the comforts we needed. Having a terrace to hang our beach towels and swimsuits was a real plus, and the towels were changed every two days. It gave us some of the ease of a hotel while staying in an apartment. Mariapaola, the cleaning lady, was professional and kind, and took such thoughtful care of us. The location is excellent and central, just a few minutes from both ports and the city center.

The owner was very accommodating and suggested things to see around town. My room was spacious and really nice, and it was very clean. The shower sometimes had weak pressure or went cold, but at such a good price, that's easy to overlook.

Franco is kind and understands what people need when they're on the island for a short break. He'll tailor his advice to what you're looking for. There are two double bedrooms, comfortably enough for four, and the price is great. He also runs a restaurant where the food is excellent. We'd definitely come back, highly recommended!
