Hotel Del Bosco

The breakfast was easily my favorite part of the mornings at Hotel Del Basco. There was a good spread of Italian specialties, from pastries or cakes and creamy cappuccinos to local cheeses and hams. Everything I tried was delicious, and it was a lovely start before heading out to explore Livigno. The staff were warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make guests feel at home. That personal touch made the stay memorable. Hotel Del Basco has a cozy atmosphere, great service and very good food. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic Italian stay.

We loved the garden suite, it was super comfortable. The outdoor jacuzzi and sauna were a big plus, with lovely views, and there’s a large indoor spa area too. The food was really good and the owners were very nice. It’s a great hotel, just a five-minute walk to the ski lifts. We’ll definitely come back :)

We spent 10 days at Hotel Del Bosco, and getting to the bus station and ski lifts was easy. They gave us a quick connection to the main ski slopes, which was perfect for skiing. The heating in our room was a real problem for part of the stay. First the radiator wasn’t working and the room was cold. We told management, but it took a while for someone to come fix it. Just two days later the issue came back, and we wondered whether the system had been disconnected completely. We complained again, and a technician came to repair it. We appreciated that they eventually addressed the problem, but being cold and unsure about the heating left us frustrated and affected our stay. The location and ski access were great, but the heating trouble was a major downside. Hopefully the feedback helps improve things for future guests.

We had a pleasant stay, with no major issues with the room or the hotel itself. We were in family room 1, and the view from there was great. The food was nice, though sometimes the portions, especially the sides, felt too small. That might be subjective, but the five of us all agreed. The staff were very nice, helpful and informative whenever we needed them. The ski room seemed a bit small for all the skis, though we were told they plan to extend it soon. The main disappointment was that the wellness area wasn’t available, even though it had been presented when we first booked. We only found out they were redoing it after asking on site. There is a public wellness nearby, and it was nice to have a hot steam shower in the room. We had paid for food, so a fridge may not have been essential, but we would still have liked a small one. Things couldn’t be stored outside in the freezing weather. An electric kettle would also have been handy for tea or coffee later, or to take along skiing.
