Finding a hotel in this area during the Olympics was tough, with most places asking more than $2000 per night. Hotel Sciatori looked nice, but the deposit request by wire transfer made me uneasy at first. That isn’t the usual way to book from the US. After a few days of messages with the hotel staff, I felt comfortable sending the international transfer. Once we arrived, we couldn’t have been happier. It’s a nice family-run place at the base of a ski lift, in a beautiful area close to Livingo. They were accommodating, prepared breakfast each morning and made sure we had what we needed. They also connected me with a local driver, which made the trip easier. I’d definitely recommend the property. I think they’d get many more guests if they accepted credit cards.

This hotel are scammers. I booked through booking.com, then they rejected my debit card. They contacted me on WhatsApp, not booking, saying I had to send the money by bank transfer or they’d cancel. I refused, so they cancelled the booking. I’ve reported this to booking and the Italian Authorities. SCAMMERS, be careful.

The valley views are lovely, and the hotel makes a handy base for getting straight onto the walking paths in summer. In winter, the ski slopes are very close too.
