Borgo Pianello

We spent hours by the pool each day, enjoying mountain views we never got tired of. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, with modern comforts added while keeping the place's authentic charm. The food and wine were outstanding, and Marco took care of every detail so thoughtfully. There was plenty to eat and drink throughout our stay. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Borgo Pianello with 22 adults and 4 children, and everyone had an unforgettable time. Marco hosted a lovely wine tasting, sharing his wines with real passion and pairing them with delicious food. The next day, we all had fun learning to make fresh tagliatelle and filled pasta in a cooking class. Our anniversary evening was a magical pizza night under string lights, with breathtaking mountain views. We ended the stay with a peaceful group yoga session the next morning. Marco made everything we hoped for possible. Every moment was happier than we could have imagined, and we'd love to come back to Borgo Pianello. We're so grateful we found it. We'd give it more than five stars if we could.

We had our wedding here during a week with friends and family, and it was an incredible place to stay. Marco, Stefania and Agata made us feel at home and organized everything perfectly. The pool was great on warm days, and the cooking class with Stefania was one of the week's highlights. Wonderful people and a fantastic place!

The rooms had plenty of space, all the amenities we needed, and a lovely countryside feel. Meals throughout the day were delicious and exactly what we wanted from Italian cuisine. We were here for a wedding and had a wonderful Italian experience, thanks to Marco, Stefania and the family, who were such great hosts. We learned about pasta and local wines during a cooking class and wine tasting, and they really knew their stuff. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and would return for a weekend getaway when I'm back in Italy.

The mountain views and surrounding nature were amazing, and having our wedding party at Borgo Pianello was a very good decision. The owners were lovely, and getting in touch with them was easy and quick. We arranged everything as we went along. I stayed for four days for the wedding, and the clean, tidy rooms accommodated all 27 of my guests plus two children. The access road is very winding because Lizzano is in the mountains, so having your own car is recommended. Wonderful place and nice people. I'd definitely go back.
