We found the nearby Conad supermarket incredibly useful, and Bar Vizioso is just a couple of minutes away for an excellent breakfast. The property itself is new, clean, and well organized, in a quiet part of Lizzano. Mr. Franco was generous and helpful from the start. It’s a convenient base for a carefree stay and for enjoying the beautiful sea around Lizzano. We’ve just spent the weekend here, and highly recommend it.

I’ve never had to write such a negative review in 45 years. Those 40 positive reviews don’t tell you enough about this place. We were finally told after waiting 40 minutes that someone was on the way, and a gentleman arrived without even apologizing. He opened the door, asked for our documents, and then claimed my driver’s license wasn’t valid ID. Seriously? A driver’s license is equivalent to an identity card. Earlier, we’d messaged the owner on WhatsApp to say we’d arrive at 2 PM, but she didn’t reply. My partner said she’d read it, so we thought someone would be there. Instead, we waited 45 minutes in the blazing sun. We tried calling after 20 minutes, and the owner didn’t answer. The place was filthy. There was hair everywhere, even in the bathroom cabinet drawer where the toilet paper was kept. The shower was dirty, the fridge was disgusting, there were cobwebs, and both rooms had damp marks. The mosquito screen on the French window leading to the terrace was broken, and the terrace wasn’t clean either. The clothes rack was dirty and wrecked, with broken plastic rods hanging down and ropes used in their place. How much does a plastic rack cost? We complained, and the owner sent someone the next day to mop the floor and bring another rack. Businesses need to be run with care and passion. Hygiene should come first, but apparently it came last here. On our last night we even found a cockroach. My partner killed it and threw it outside, but I still get shivers thinking about it. Never again.

We were four and had a wonderful stay. The owners were very friendly, and breakfast at the nearby Matteotti bar was fabulous. It’s just steps from the property. Our spacious, clean room was really a mini-apartment, with a bedroom, an entrance area with a sofa bed, and a large bathroom. There were two TVs, two air conditioners, and a compact fridge with a freezer that came in handy. A five-star B&B only a few kilometers from the clear sea at Marina di Lizzano. Highly recommended.

The owner was incredibly kind when the weather ruined our beach day and we had to leave as soon as we woke up. She said we could stay with them for one night if we ever came back. The B&B is new and well looked after, right in the center of Lizzano, and our room was very clean. They’d even provided a crib for our baby. There was a mini-fridge with two bottles of water, plus shampoo, a shower cap, and fresh towels in the bathroom. Her helpfulness deserves a very positive rating, and the five stars are well deserved. One small suggestion: since the beach is nearby, a little balcony drying rack for towels would be useful.
