Garibaldi 135 in Loano

The location is handy, near the sea and downtown, but I would've gladly walked 20 minutes farther for a clean apartment. The bathroom was filthy, with dirt splashed all over the shower and red marks on the sink that looked like blood. Crumbs and stains covered the kitchen and sofas, and the sofa bed had all sorts of mess inside when we opened it. There was also a horrible smell from the closets and washing machine. It made me wonder whether the place had been cleaned before we arrived. A notice on the front door said rodent control was underway and warned guests not to touch the bait. Nobody had told us about it. Getting to the building also meant tackling a very long staircase, a real pain after the beach or a night out. We raised the problem with the man who handed over the keys, but he said he wasn't the owner and couldn't help. I wanted to leave the first night, but didn't know who to contact or how to get back the €400, so I couldn't. Highly discouraged.
