B&B Trulli Donna Isabella 2

We had a brilliant four-night stay in April. It was easy to find, with loads of parking, a spacious room with kitchenette that we didn’t use, and a compact bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and it’s easy to get to the main tourist spots in the Valle d'Itria. There wasn’t much storage, but we managed. The old town is an easy ten-minute walk. Best of all were the scrumptious breakfasts, with loads of homemade cakes and food and drink to choose from. Isabella and her son Giuseppe were brilliant, so helpful, friendly, and genuine. They shared tips and helped us with bookings. It was Isabella’s childhood home, which explains the care, attention, and pride. We’d definitely stay again. One thing to know: the pool isn’t on site, but it’s easy to get to.

We stayed at Truli house in Locarotando and had a great time. Isabella's has lots of parking, which was convenient since we were traveling by car or van. The town's beautiful historic center is about a 15-minute walk away.

Breakfast was a lovely daily ritual, with fresh ingredients, homemade treats, and a smile alongside every coffee. The woman who made it put in so much care, and her kindness and attention to detail really stood out. Our hosts were warm, polite, helpful, and easy to communicate with, so we felt at home. The setting was peaceful but still handy for exploring nearby. A real delight, and we'd definitely return.

Locorotondo made a great base for seeing Valle D’Itria, wider Puglia, and Matera. We only wish we'd had longer to enjoy the town itself, with its fantastic bars and restaurants. We stayed with friends, who had the larger trullo with a pool at the second property, while ours was a smaller cummerse beside the breakfast room. It was hot even in early June, so next time I'd choose the cooler, roomier trullo and pool. Isa and her son Giuseppe looked after us so well. Breakfast was very good, and making pasta with Isa was fun. Giuseppe arranged bikes for us to explore nearby towns. Printed maps of cycle-friendly routes would help, since working them out ourselves with Google and a German guidebook was a bit frustrating.
