Borgo San Francesco

We loved the beautiful surroundings and found this a great base for exploring the area. The Trulli were cozy, clean, and lovely, with rustic decor that added to their charm. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We also loved the cute kittens and the white dog called Black. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights here.

The owner was one of the most hospitable people we’ve ever met, and his brother, a very talented, creative artist, made the place feel unique with his art pieces. The trulli at Borgo San Francesco is spacious, cozy, and very clean, with comfortable beds and a private terrace for enjoying nature at the end of the day. The setting is wonderful, and elegant little Locorotondo is very close by.

The grounds were beautiful and well cared for, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including eggs and fruit from the property. The owners were incredibly lovely and welcoming, and we especially liked the resident dog and cats. My one small issue was the bed, which felt firm and springy. A folded blanket on top helped a bit. Grazie mille for a wonderful stay!

We were so glad we stayed in Locorotondo after visiting Alberobello. It was much quieter and more relaxing, away from the crowds of tourists. The two brothers who own the place made us feel very welcome and cared for. They told us about the history, took us on a rooftop tour, brought a delicious, satisfying breakfast wherever we wanted to eat, and even found us an extra drying rack for laundry. Their dog, cats, and kittens, plus their mother living on the property, made the stay feel warm and authentic. We adored our two nights and wished we had one or two more. The brothers have done a first class job renovating the trullis. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.
