Michela BB & Relais

BB Michaela Hotel sits in a charming part of Lonato and has a relaxed feel. The rooms are nicely decorated and kept clean, but my stay had too many frustrations for me to recommend it. Breakfast was limited, and some dishes weren't fully clean. I even found a long hair in the homemade jam. The hosts didn't seem welcoming or very accommodating. They handled requests reluctantly and made a few remarks I couldn't understand. You also can't bring your own food or have a picnic in the hotel cafeteria, and coffee is only served in the morning. There was a leak at the shower door seal, so water ran onto the floor. The hosts showed little understanding and asked if we'd showered with the door open, which felt inappropriate. Those issues took away from what otherwise seemed like a pleasant setting.

We came to Michela's for a cycling race on May 12, 2024, and were met with a warm, professional, friendly welcome. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully detailed. We'd love to come back, enjoy the pool, and see more of the area.

It's a peaceful, very clean place with spacious, air-conditioned rooms, away from the tourist crowds. The owners try to provide breakfast alternatives for people with food intolerances, and the shared breakfast room has what you need. After a day at Lake Garda, you can cool off in the pool and have a glass of wine on the terrace. A lovely way to end the day.

The rooms were modern and very clean, and the location was quiet and idyllic. But the rooms aren't soundproof, breakfast was meager, and we were told not to use much toilet paper, as the photo shows. Parking was available, though getting a spot felt like a lottery. The shower cubicle door was broken. The owner said we'd have to shower with the cubicle open. The B&B felt like it was being run without passion, and we felt treated as tourists who were there just to bring in money. There was also a creepy feeling of being watched all the time. Never again.
