Dinner can stretch on as everyone swaps stories with the other guests, which makes for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Mario and Gabrielle are there for the guests and make sure everyone has a great experience. The pool is really nice, and the food is always fantastic, local and fresh, cooked by nonna.

The evening meal is a real highlight. Everyone sits around one big table, and we met guests from all over Europe and Canada. There was lots of freshly prepared food and wine for a fixed €30 at the time, with a different meal each night we stayed and the recipe and process explained. The host was great, and the room was basic but just as expected. We had a relaxing weekend exploring the area. Spoken English is basic, but we managed fine.

Le Magnolie is a classic country house, and owner Mario Tortella gives it a genuine Italian feel through the hospitality, food, and atmosphere. It's somewhat isolated, but there's a lovely pool and beautiful scenery. Anyone after 21st-century luxury should look elsewhere; for an authentic Italian experience, this is the place.

We stayed in a lovely apartment in a quiet, peaceful spot, a few kms from Loreto Aprutino. Gabriella and Mario were great hosts, and the food was beautiful.

Really nice place and really nice people. The dinners were excellent! When things with covid calm down, consider it for an off-the-beaten-path Italian treat trip.
