Happy Camp in Camping Iscrixedda

We had a wonderful, relaxed stay in mid-October, with few people and hardly any noise. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the service was great. The restaurant and market had already closed for the season, but it’s a golden time to travel.

For me, this is the best campsite in Sardinia so far. The staff are super friendly, it’s well located, and the prices are affordable. Just remember to bring good mosquito repellent.

We stayed here in our camper for six nights and really enjoyed it. The pitches are close to the beach and nicely shaded by pine trees. The beach is lovely too, and everyone was really friendly. 100% recommend.

The campsite had a peaceful atmosphere and the facilities were generally good, but getting to the toilets from our spot at the far end took an extremely long walk. For a campground this big, I don’t think there were enough bathrooms. We were travelling by motorbike and couldn’t park beside our tent. We had to leave the bikes farther away and carry our gear back and forth. I’m not sure whether that’s standard in Sardinia, but it was inconvenient and not what I’m used to when camping. The biggest surprise came when we went to pay after three days. The receptionist said there was an extra €5 per day for a sea view. Nobody had mentioned that at check-in. We were shown two places to pitch our tent, both with a sea view, shown the regular price list, and then chose one. Nothing was said about an additional charge. When we explained, the receptionist raised his voice and said it was our job to read signs taped around the window. He was quite rude and insisted staff didn’t have to tell guests everything in person. We calmly said we wouldn’t pay a fee that hadn’t been communicated. He eventually dropped it, but made us feel unwelcome, as if their poor communication was our fault. I’ve been travelling for three weeks and staying at different campgrounds almost every night, and this was the first time I’d run into this kind of behaviour. That’s why I’m giving three stars.
