The owners, especially Ignacio, were so welcoming and helpful, offering ideas for outings and other assistance. They don't speak English, but the house Wi-Fi worked and Google Translate made communication quite manageable. We ended up at Villa Almelia in summer 2025 after having to change our plans at very short notice. There were rooms free, and the prices felt very fair, perhaps because it wasn't very busy. The villa is lovely, set in a spacious garden full of trees that gives plenty of shade. Some paint is peeling, but the guest areas are beautifully furnished. I especially liked the cozy breakfast room, with its big kitchen, musical instruments (!) and kitchen utensils. Our first-floor rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. There's no air conditioning, but we found we didn't need it at night. Even in summer, the nights cooled to around 15-20°C, perhaps thanks to the local climate or the trees in the garden, so we slept well. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

The food was the best surprise. We got to have dinner in the lovely tavern, where Ignazio and Teresa served us delicious traditional dishes. We also really enjoyed the homemade breakfast desserts. They deserve a Michelin star! Our room was lovely, clean, spacious, and had all the comforts we needed. The property itself is welcoming and well-equipped, close to the center and only a short distance from Campobasso. Ignazio and Teresa were exemplary hosts, attentive to every need. We'll definitely be back soon!

We went in early August and loved the terrace. The room was beautiful and everything was in order, with nothing missing. Ignazio and his wife were fantastic and made us feel right at home. It's a charming spot surrounded by peaceful nature. Thanks for welcoming us, we'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Less than a half-hour drive from Campitello Matese, this is a beautiful place surrounded by nature and quiet. It seems ideal for children and for anyone looking to get away from noise. Mr. Ignazio doesn't just provide a place to stay, he welcomes you into his home with real hospitality. He's consistently kind and helpful.

Ignazio is discreet but always helpful, affable, kind, and friendly, and you feel at home right away. The place is comfortable and extremely welcoming, and very clean. Breakfast was tasty and pleasant, with sweet things. We'll definitely be back.
