I’m still here, and this has been the best stay of my trip. Maria was incredibly kind and attentive. Train delays made it hard for me to get to the hotel, and since I was traveling alone, she checked with the driver to make sure I was in the right car. She was patient and helped even when I was short on money for the car. When she showed me to the room, I was amazed. I’d booked the suite, one of the least expensive places on my trip, but it’s by far the most wonderful. The details are thoughtful, the courtyard is beautiful, and the robes are divine. I’d absolutely come back.

I booked a room for three nights three months ahead, but they canceled it just 24 hours before check-in without explaining why in English. I asked for a response and got none. To be clear, I didn’t cancel, and my credit card worked fine. It had also worked at my previous stay the day before through the same tour operator, who confirmed that. I’ll never book here again. Be careful, and read other customers’ experiences, as many report the same thing. I wonder how this company gets such good ratings. Companies like this should be banned.

What a romantic place to stay in Licca, close to Lucca’s old town. Breakfast was over the top, and the hosts were perfect. There are stairs to climb, but they helped us with our luggage. We visited in the off season and were given an upgrade. What a treat.

Breakfast came as a fantastic spread, and Maria and Nadia were accommodating, wonderful hosts throughout my two-night visit. This lovely little B&B just outside the walls made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I’ll be back. Grazie!

The two women who run this small, three-bedroom B&B were friendly and available if we needed them. We stayed one night, on August 17, and found the central location extremely convenient. I’d recommend it to couples, with or without children. Thanks for a great stay!
