The hostess speaks great English and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. She tried to meet every request, including making eggs for breakfast the next morning. When we heard that my sister was engaged, she brought out a bottle of wine to celebrate. We only stayed one night, and it was the best value for the price of our whole Italian vacation. The place is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs. Our family suite was on the third floor, by US counting, which was fine for us, but could be a challenge for anyone with knee problems or very heavy luggage.

They were super sweet and professional, and let us play the piano they had at the storage facility. We felt very safe leaving our luggage with them. The price was very affordable. They’re great!

The outside of La Bella Lucca wasn’t much to look at, but inside we found clean bedrooms with modern decor, and even a new jacuzzi. The host was friendly and clearly trying hard, and the breakfast was very good and nicely laid out. We couldn’t find reasonably priced accommodation inside Lucca’s walls, so since we had a car, we looked just outside them. In short, unexpectedly good rooms, a friendly host and a reasonable price.

Breakfast was the standout for me, all of it fresh and really excellent. The rooms were clean, too, and the host made us feel so welcome. They explained everything clearly and spoke English. A very comfortable place! ❤️

We booked less than two hours before arriving and were welcomed straight away. The mix of modern and rustic, old alongside new, worked really well, and breakfast was lovely. Wishing those lovely young people all the best.
