I keep coming back every year because the place feels so cozy, like one of my favorite homes away from home. The bed is comfortable, breakfast is terrific, and the service, communication, and reception are all responsive. Hotel Ilaria is more than the sum of those parts. It's easy to see why it's always full. Lucca is special, and this hotel is too. Highly recommended. Mr H.

We had a spacious room in the tower with a lovely bathroom. The lounge was comfortable, with complimentary drinks and snacks, and breakfast had a good choice. You could eat inside or out on the terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel sits right by Lucca's historic center.

The afternoon bar and complimentary snacks were a treat, and I loved the breakfast. The rooms, service, and location were excellent. I'd definitely stay again.

We borrowed two bikes and had fun riding around the city and along the walls. The welcome was warm, and a receptionist even walked us to our room. We were in a Superior Room Annex across the street from the main hotel. It was huge, with a big bed, high ceilings, a beautiful bathroom, and stylish, luxurious decor. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a breakfast with lots to choose from, especially cakes and other sweets. Coffee in the lobby was free during the day, and there was happy hour too. We had a wonderful one-night stay, and felt it was money well spent. I know where I'll stay next time I'm in Lucca.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the place was extremely clean. Breakfast was wonderful, and there was a buffet of sweet and savory snacks available all day until 7pm. I recommend staying here so much that I've already booked another night for myself and one for a friend.
