Tenuta di Tramonte

The natural pool was a highlight, though I wish the weather had let us use it more. The surrounding hills are stunning, and the rooms look out on views like a painting. Every part of the house feels thoughtfully decorated, stylish, and comfortable for guests. Breakfast was outstanding, with everything from their organic vegetable garden. Dinner was the one small drawback: the portions were quite small and expensive for what you got, so we were still a little hungry afterward, even though the dishes themselves were very high quality. We hope to return to Tenuta di Tramonte. This was the best hotel we've ever stayed in, and the experience was absolutely superlative.

The people at Tenura di Tramonte are real treasures, especially Giulio, who made our stay incredible, grazie mille! Their kindness, attention to detail, and service were outstanding. We ate lunch and dinner there several times, and the food and care put into preparing it impressed us every time. The chef makes a point of using seasonal ingredients from the Tenuta's vegetable garden. We can't wait to come back. If you're traveling around Tuscany, you MUST stay here, even if it's just for a night. I'd give Tenuta di Tramonte 10 stars if I could.

The suite was so spacious and comfortable that I didn't want to leave. Its bedding was luxurious, and the locally sourced, vibrant artwork worked beautifully with the old charm and modern finishes. Staff were accommodating, and the food was farm to table and perfection. We ate on the property two of our three nights and had the complimentary full buffet, including eggs made to order. For a slower paced luxury stay outside lucca or elsewhere in Tuscany, this is a must.

We left after two nights feeling rested and ready to continue our Italian honeymoon road trip, with full bellies and the boot packed with their wine and olive oil. We liked it so much that within 15 minutes of arriving, we asked if another night was available. The owners were a warm, welcoming couple who showed us around the property and shared its history. They looked after us in a way no chain hotel would. One lovely detail: they offered us freshly picked plums while we relaxed by the pool. The natural spring water pool has no chlorine or chemicals, and they say you can drink from it. We spent a relaxing time under the olive tree's shade, listening to water flow into the pool. The food was gorgeous, with fresh, varied dishes made from ingredients straight from their kitchen garden. We ate every meal there and never felt the need to go out. Their wine, including what they make themselves, was sensational, as were the olive oil and limoncello, all at very reasonable prices. Both rooms we stayed in were spacious, tastefully decorated to a high standard, and had huge bathtubs. The staff were welcoming and helpful, ready to make our wishes happen. 11/10 in every way!
