The rooms are damp and heavily affected by mold, and the studio offers no privacy. You can hear the neighbor in the bathroom, along with noise day and night from both locals and foreigners. The refrigerator is loud and doesn't cool, and the boiler is constantly on hold. The tenants aren't cooperative, and the caretaker isn't suited to her duties. A very uncomfortable place to stay.
Casale de Santa Maria is a wonderful spot to unwind and get some rest. The upkeep and cleaning need attention, which is a shame, but I'd happily come back.
Such a lovely place, clean and peaceful, and warm and welcoming too.
