The food kept surprising us. In ten days, not a single coursed dinner was repeated, and the breakfast and snack spreads had more choices than I’ve ever seen. We spent our honeymoon at Lüsnerhof, and the mountain setting was incredible for hiking. Our room was beautiful, with amazing views right outside. The staff looked after us so well, especially Elvira and Vincenzo, who were both so kind. And the spa? Wow. It seemed to have everything you could want. We’d wondered if the place could really look like its photos and videos, but in person it was every bit as impressive, even better. So glad we booked.

We left feeling completely recharged, and we’re already looking forward to another visit. The quiet atmosphere, luxurious feel, and breathtaking natural surroundings made for a wonderful stay at Naturhotel Lüsnerhof in the Tirol Dolomites. The spa was among the best we’ve experienced, with several beautiful saunas, peaceful places to relax, and both indoor and outdoor pools. The rooms were thoughtfully designed, with little details throughout the hotel that made a difference. Service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Everyone seemed to care about making guests feel welcome and at ease. The food was exceptional too. Highly recommended.

The spa facilities were just everything, and the food was fresh, high quality, and healthy enough that I felt good after every meal. The staff were so friendly. They remembered my usual morning coffee, reminded me about activities I’d planned, and checked in during my stay. I had an incredible time and would come back in any season.

Wake up early and swim in the indoor-outdoor pool. The food at the restaurants was very good, and the hotel and staff were amazing, with a familiar, cozy feel to the spa. I especially liked the little sauna in the woods. You can reach it barefoot, walking beside the waterfall coming down from the mountains. If you love nature and aesthetics like I do, I can hardly recommend this spa hotel enough. I’ll definitely return when I drive back from Tuscany to Norway.

We paid $2,900 AUD for three nights, and for that price the experience was honestly shocking. The main pool wasn’t heated, and jets in the spa were broken and coming off. Construction noise, with cranes, carried on the whole time, including weekends, until 8 pm. I took videos but can’t upload them here. Tractors drove past while we were in the sauna, and parts of the infrared sauna were falling apart. We had to leave the property for two full days while construction was happening. The room and location were insanely amazing, though the room was outside the main resort, down a very steep hill. That wasn’t mentioned in the booking. We’d come for a couple of nights at the start of October for our honeymoon, right after getting married. We were welcomed with drinks in a stunning reception area, and the hostess showed us the saunas, pools, and restaurant. They all looked beautiful. She did make a slightly odd comment about how young we were. When we got to our accommodation, a dustpan was holding the door open and the car park was full of resort gear. That didn’t feel luxurious for the price. Inside, the room itself was gorgeous, with timber everywhere, a fireplace, a private sauna, and amazing mountain views. We were excited to settle in, but couldn’t relax. We asked reception if we could cancel the rest of the stay. The woman who’d welcomed us ignored us, which was upsetting. Another receptionist tried to help, but said the owners had to approve anything. I was exhausted and crying by then. Spending that much on a place that didn’t match what we’d been promised felt helpless. The next day we were offered a free salt bath or a move to one of their other properties. It was a nice gesture, but those options seemed nowhere near the same level, so we stayed. One more thing we hadn’t expected: the resort clearly caters mostly to guests who are comfortable with nudity in wellness areas. That’s fine and we respect it, but nudity could be seen from shared spaces where families and kids were around. We found that really uncomfortable. The website or booking platforms should mention it, so guests from other countries, like us from Australia, know what to expect. The setting is stunning, but the communication, attention to detail, and basic hospitality didn’t match the luxury price. This was meant to be one of the most relaxing parts of our honeymoon, and it was a real disappointment.
