Alpen Hotel Vidi

The uphill walk to the Pradalago lift took around four minutes. There wasn’t snow down at resort level while we were there, but it would have been a less pleasant walk if the roads had been icy. The hotel was very well kept, with helpful, friendly staff. Our room was spotless and nicely equipped, and the shower was fantastic. Dinner was generous and delicious, with five courses and a choice for two of them, and there was a huge breakfast buffet. Downstairs, the cosy bar served après-ski treats and evening drinks.

We spent a family ski holiday here in February 2025. Madonna is a smart, fairly peaceful town, with most of the traffic going through a tunnel. The rooms have been beautifully refurbished in a modern style and were very comfortable. The hotel was well run, and the restaurant and lounge have a traditional feel. Breakfast and dinner were good, and the afternoon snacks were much appreciated. Staff were excellent, very friendly and spoke good English. There’s a smallish pool and sauna, but no outdoor space.

The people working here are the heart of the hotel. The team is relatively small, but they couldn’t do enough for us and really made the stay. Thanks, guys, and have a great season! We’ve just come back from a week at Alpen Hotel Vidi. Our room on the fifth floor was spacious, with a view over the village. The restaurant served a delicious five-course dinner every night, and we always left full. The cosy bar made excellent cocktails with care. After a hard day skiing, the spa was a welcome place to unwind, with a lovely pool with jacuzzi jets, a steam room, sauna and large relaxation room. Water and herbal tea were complimentary. The location at the top of the village was perfect, within walking distance of the main lifts and the end of our runs.

Two ski lifts are within a five-minute walk, and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Sergio deserves a special mention: he’s a brilliant barman and drinks artiste extraordinaire. The hotel is well appointed, with spacious, comfortable rooms and excellent food. The half-board dinners were amazing.
