Hotel Garni St. Hubertus

We were there for 7 nights, and the service from the whole team and the owner was impeccable. Breakfast was amazing, with a huge selection and everything tasting great. The hotel is right by the ski gondola. Such a great place, highly recommend it.

Dario changes the guest restaurant menu every day and uses fresh ingredients. He also takes dietary needs into account, which makes it a great fit for vegetarians and vegans. Guests can get a Tourist Card for discounts on lifts, restaurants, and e-bike hire. We had a wonderful week here in summer. It’s a family run hotel right in the middle of Madonna di Campiglio, and Dario and Maria were fantastic, accommodating owners. Our room had a lovely balcony full of colourful flowers. Rooms look either onto the quiet park or one of the main roads, with a mountain view. The rooms are cute, and the whole stay felt familiar and genuine. If you’d rather have that kind of Dolomites experience than stay in one of the many modern, fancy hotels, I’d recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast is a real highlight here, with lots of hams and sweets, plus freshly cooked eggs and pancakes. My go-to was a ham and cheese omelette with a Nutella pancake, just right before a full day skiing. Dinner is good value too, three tasty courses, with a different menu each evening. The hotel sits right in the center of M.Campiglio, handy if you’re skiing. The 5 Langhi lift is 50m away, and Spinale is about an 8-10 minute walk. The rooms are small and the building is old, but that gives it a homely feel and character. It’s run by a lovely family, with friendly staff and a lovely dog. I’m sure the owner would have considered adding more vegetables at breakfast if the couple who wanted them had asked. And you can ask for eggs or pancakes instead of filling up on bread, which you can toast too. The coffee was freshly made and good, so don’t believe the claim that it was bad.

The staff were kind, and breakfast was nice. The location is perfect. Rooms are small and dated, but clean and well cared for. We had some trouble with the heating and shower hot water, since neither can be regulated.
