The restaurant was a nice part of our stay: the garlic squid pasta and carbonara were both really good, though the lasagna was a bit dry. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It’s right by the lake, so we could walk out and sunbathe there, and the main town is about a 45-minute walk away.

The people here made our five nights feel personal and really memorable. Everyone, from the family to the waitstaff, was warm, friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. We ended up eating at the restaurant every night, including one takeaway after we got back late. The menu was varied, and we got to try plenty: grilled seafood platter, sliced beef with chimichuri roast potatoes, vitello tonnato, poached egg, and bread with balsamic and olive oil. Being able to head upstairs to bed after dinner was a bonus. Our room was great too, with a good-sized bathroom, useful amenities, and a balcony overlooking the lake. We especially liked the arch-shaped doorway onto the balcony. Albergo San Remo really left a mark on us, and we’re grateful the team made our Lake Garda trip so special.

We only tried the restaurant, though the hotel looks lovely too. The staff kindly made room for us even though we arrived quite late, so we could have dinner. The pizzas were delicious, made quickly in a stone oven with fresh ingredients. With pizza bianca on the menu and no pizza Hawaï, it felt like a truly Italian place. Probably the best pizza around here.
