Park Hotel Val di Monte

Our family of two adults and two children, aged 7 and 9, spent a week here in July. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and there was plenty to enjoy outdoors: the pool, football and tennis field, and the rest of the outdoor area were great and felt very safe for children. Parking was right by the entrance, and they also have an EV charger. The clean, spacious, modern family room had a west-facing balcony with a great lake view. The restaurant offered a good variety and delicious food, and the bar had a good selection of wine, beer, and soft drinks. The hotel is up on the heights above beautiful Malcesine, with the centre and nearby restaurants within walking distance. If we return to Malcesine, we’d definitely stay at Val Di Monte again!

The hotel and apartments were lovely, with beautiful views, a nice breakfast, and polite, pleasant staff. Getting there on foot with luggage was horrible, though. Booking.com said it was 0.9 km from the town centre, but it was 4 km up the hill. We gave up halfway and called the hotel, and they picked us up. All in all, it was a lovely stay. I’d recommend going by car.

The panoramic views are breathtaking, and you could sit looking at them for hours. There’s lots to do, and the friendly staff can tell you about it. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, and this feels like a familiar hotel that I’d almost call a mini resort. It could suit families with children, romantic couples, and active people, though it’s not the best fit for partying or for people with disabilities. Getting down to the centre of Malscesine can be a bit difficult or expensive, so perhaps the hotel could start its own shuttle service. The rooms are a little old, and the hotel interior could use some work.

We were staying in a nearby apartment and arrived very late with no food, absolutely starving. The hotel's restaurant still served us a really good pizza even though it was late. The staff were great. Thank you!
