Hotel Santa Isabel

The restaurant here is among the island’s best for lunch and dinner, with fresh, high quality food. Our room was spacious, clean and modern, and the air conditioning was strong. Best resort on the island, in my view. Highly recommend.

The property is clean and well maintained, and the guest service was very kind. It may have been renovated recently, though I’m not sure. The location across from the beach is great. Breakfast, though, was poor, and the restaurant staff were terrible. Keep expectations in check, you could get this breakfast or better at a gas station or central bus station almost anywhere.

We booked a room advertised with a balcony and sea view, but ours faced right onto the street with only a glimpse of water. The staff at santa isabella were rude and not hospitable, and refused to refund us, so we had to pay for one night. We found a beautiful available room at the signum hotel, just down the block. Salina is such a beautiful island, but santa isabella’s staff didn’t represent it well. I’d think twice before booking here. If you’ve already booked, run.

A Sicilian dream: the beach is only minutes away, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful, and the staff are lovely. There’s also one of the island’s best restaurants at the hotel.
