Hotel Locanda Vivaldi

The staff were lovely and arranged a water taxi to the airport for us. It cost a fair bit, but was worth it, and I’d stay here again. We were there in December: our corner room on the second floor was big and beautiful, while the separate room for our adult kids was just enough for sleeping. The rooms feel dated, especially after the fabulous modern hotel we’d stayed in in Rome.

We spent nine nights here with harbor and canal views from our room. The team took care of everything we needed: Alex Hammad, Kadeisha, Rodney Stephano, Vanessa, and Jordy. The hotel is in a fabulous spot near St Marks and the Doges Palace, across from San Giorgio Maggiore and the vaporetto lines. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Khadija really stood out, greeting us with a warm smile and being so welcoming and friendly. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The breakfast was better than expected, and the view was breathtaking. I stayed at Vivaldi Hotel in Venice recently, and the rooms could use some renovation to match their lovely surroundings.

We had booked a large, more expensive apartment through a booking portal, but were shown a cramped room on arrival. The staff insisted that it was what we had reserved, even though it clearly wasn't. It took help from a booking portal representative to get the accommodation we'd paid for, and that didn't happen until the following day, costing us part of our stay. The service was a huge disappointment and completely unacceptable. I definitely don't recommend this place.
