The building is old and traditional, but it was clean and tidy, and the location is great. The beds were like rock, though, and sleeping was difficult. The pillows were awful, and the bedding was just a sheet with a thin, sheet-like duvet cover. Thankfully there was one blanket for each bed in the cupboard. At a minimum, they need mattress toppers. It was easily the worst sleep we’ve had in Europe. The electrical sockets are vertical, so some adapters won’t fit.

We were able to leave our bags after check-out, and the area was very quiet at night, with nice supermarkets nearby. The location is excellent and close to the railway station, with one large bridge to cross that was manageable with luggage. We were happy with the accommodation for our two-day trip, though I wish we’d had a canal view. Room #307 faced a neighbour’s balcony instead. The mattress was too firm and the pillows weren’t comfortable.

We enjoyed staying here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. The front desk staff were really nice and helpful, which was especially welcome after meeting so many hotel staff while travelling around Europe.

The reception staff were easy to approach and kind, even when we kept asking lots of questions. The woman working during the day was especially lovely, and the ladies at breakfast were great too. We enjoyed the location and thought the breakfast was better than what seemed to be available elsewhere. A good stay, with no complaints.
