Venice Heaven Apartments Ca' Matilde

The hosts were very kind, and the apartment was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. It’s in an excellent location, close to all the tourist sights.

The apartment was more or less clean and in a good location, but we got very little sleep. It isn’t soundproof, and loud noises from the hallway downstairs and outside kept startling us throughout the night. The owners were extremely unfriendly and inflexible, and came across as very authoritative. I’d mentioned when booking that I was coming home from the hospital. One day we miscalculated by a few hours, and they wouldn’t hear of it. That was ultimately my fault, so no problem there. When we arrived, the lady saw my crutches and commented on them. Then she hurried ahead to the apartment without looking back, leaving me to hobble after her like a dog. I felt there was zero understanding or humanity. Not recommended!!!

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the apartment is beautifully furnished and truly well equipped. It’s in central San Marco, between the Accademia and Sant'Angelo vaporetto stops. There are two televisions, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom, plus a dehumidifier in the smaller bedroom. The bathroom had towels, a hairdryer, straighteners, shampoo, conditioner, and toiletries. All the windows have mosquito nets. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances and more: microwave, induction hob, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board, electric coffee maker, and moka pot. There are two independent air conditioning units, in the living room and master bedroom. The building and apartment have electronic locks via Wi-Fi, or you can use a traditional key. Perfect!

A clean, welcoming place that’s ideal for everyone.
