Hotel Promessi Sposi

We spent two nights at Hotel Promessi Sposi, and my husband and I were extremely happy with the stay. It's peaceful, very quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything feeling well cared for. The staff were kind, helpful, and always smiling, which made us feel welcome. Breakfast had lots of choice and high-quality products. The setting is calm and surrounded by greenery, while still being convenient. The hotel has a simple, minimal look that also feels refined and high quality, and you can see the attention to detail and care for guests. We'd love to come back and highly recommend it for a peaceful, high-class stay.

Bellagio and Varenna are easy to reach by bus and train, though the best way to see the sights was on the hotel yacht with Matteo. He guided us around the lake, shared fascinating details, and made it feel wonderfully luxurious as we sipped bubbles. The setting is stunning, with mountains all around, especially from the rooftop bar. The hotel is a comfortable distance from the main tourist areas, so it feels like an authentic Italian experience. Right outside, the promenade has lovely bars and restaurants, and a short walk into Lecco takes you to a beautiful, historic town with great food and places to unwind. The reception staff were outstanding, and a special thanks to our captain Matteo. A hidden gem on the lake. Shh, don't tell too many people.

The restaurant's fine dining was so yummy, the view was breathtaking, and the staff were great. It's only 10 minutes from the train station. We had a taxi arranged through the front desk, but it never arrived. The driver told them twice that they were nearby, but they weren't. The manager did everything possible to get us to the station on time, and we made it to Rome, our next stop, without a hitch. Thanks again for a great stay.

I booked this for a quiet weekend with my daughter after a busy, noisy week at work, and it was exactly what we needed. Lake Como was calm and beautiful, and the scenery everywhere around the lake was unforgettable. I'd happily return to the same hotel. We woke each morning to an incredible lake and mountain view from our window. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared, with English, Italian, and other choices. The dining area was organized and peaceful, a lovely way to start the day. The whole hotel felt welcoming and relaxing, and the common areas were spotless and well kept. Housekeeping stood out for being professional, kind, communicative, and helpful, with great attention to detail. The reception team were also patient and supportive whenever we needed anything, right through our last day. I wholeheartedly recommend the hotel for comfort, relaxation, and exceptional service. We loved every moment.
