Francesca was easy to communicate with and very helpful. Her detailed arrival and check-in instructions made everything straightforward. The location is handy, just a short, easy walk from the public overnight parking, and it’s peaceful, away from the busiest part of town, while still only a few minutes downhill from everything. The views are gorgeous. You can’t avoid uphill walks in Manarola wherever you stay, though. Our room was bright, airy, clean, and comfortable, and nicer in person than the website photos suggested. We liked it so much that we spent a few hours relaxing there each afternoon before dinner. It was a great place to cool off after exploring, especially with the air conditioning in the hot weather. We had a lovely stay!

Francesca was an incredible hostess and really went out of her way to make our stay great. The room had a wonderful view, a very comfortable bed, and all the amenities we could ask for. I’d recommend this place to anyone staying in the city.

The wifi was the letdown. The owner tried to fix it and it worked for two hours, then stopped again. We asked the manager, but didn’t get a reply that time. The rest of the room was lovely: spacious, with a great bed, a balcony overlooking the city and sea, and a particularly pretty view at night. The stone wall and decor were beautiful, and the shower’s little blue, turquoise, and gold tiles looked lovely. It’s above Manarola’s main street, so there’s a climb to reach it, as there is everywhere in town. Our room wasn’t in the owner’s main building near the train, but we thought it was worth it. The girl who welcomed us was very nice and helpful, and gave us maps, train times, and restaurant suggestions.

Sunset over the harbor was magical, especially with takeaway calamari and wine. The house is just across the tunnel from the station, which made it easy with a big suitcase, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Francesca, the hostess, and Christiano, the boat captain, were both lovely and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the views differ depending on where you are because the terrain is so hilly.
