The rooms were comfortable and very nice, and breakfast was pleasant. The setting is beautiful, right in the Tuscan countryside on an organic farm. Dinner was excellent, served around one shared table, and the owner joined us to explain the food and local area.

We came as two couples for New Year’s Eve dinner and ended up staying four more days. The experience was a good one, apart from the constant rain. We especially liked being able to use the breakfast room at any hour, even late at night. With the fireplace lit and lots of board games, it felt really welcoming. The breakfasts were high quality, with organic jams, homemade honey, fresh, tasty ricotta, local cured meats, and cakes made every day. You can tell they care about authentic food, and there’s a shop where you can buy their products. The people running the place were kind and helpful, especially Tanya, who was incredibly kind and always available. It was excellent value for money. We’d love to return in spring or summer and make use of the pool. It also seems ideal for families with children, with Maremma cattle grazing nearby. One real downside was the lack of suitable walking paths. I’d sincerely suggest adding a tiled or similar path around the farmhouse, because rain leaves mud and puddles that make getting around unpleasant.

The location is central, just minutes from the Saturnia hot springs. We stayed for three nights over New Year’s Eve and loved the place and the food. The rooms were simple but comfortable. We’d definitely recommend it in summer too.
