Villa Bagno Santo

The accommodation was OK, and the staff were nice.

We ate at their restaurant and everything was good. The rooms were simple and clean.

The pool sits in a lovely garden. It's not very big, but it was nice for cooling down, relaxing, and sunbathing on the loungers. Parking is available, though it's unpaved and has no shade, so keep that in mind. Inside, the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a real blessing in summer. The bed had a double mattress and was roomy and comfortable. We slept well for a while, despite the noise. The room itself was small and sparse, fine for one person but cramped for a couple. Soundproofing was poor. The restaurant downstairs stayed open until 11 or 11:30 PM, and we could hear everything, including other guests returning late or using the hallway vending machine for coffee. The closet was tiny and seemed mostly for show. The bathroom was pretty run down, and the fixed shower was uncomfortable, though everything was clean. On arrival there was nobody to greet us and no signs, so we were confused and had to call. Eventually the pizza chef from the restaurant downstairs showed us in and opened the room.

We were very satisfied with the stay. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Saturnia thermal spa, and there is convenient parking on site. Our comfortable room had everything we needed, including a TV, air conditioning, space for clothes and a suitcase, and a spacious bathroom with a shower. The restaurant was handy since they run it too, and the food was excellent. Everyone was kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent as well. Highly recommended.
