It felt like staying in a beautiful hotel and a historical museum at the same time. The rooms and ceilings are gorgeous, and the service from the woman working there was superb. Such a unique experience.

We'd happily come back. The apartment was spacious and had all the appliances we needed, and the room even came with a cool skeleton key. The staff were great value and really helpful, guiding us around the city and sharing tips on where and when to eat and what entertainment was best.

The rooms are huge and the place feels like a museum, but please don't book the basement room. It smells horribly musty and is mouldy because the damp just doesn't go away. An 18th century cellar without light can't really become a dry room when the walls stay porous. They shouldn't rent it out.

My fiance and I hoped to get married here, and they agreed a couple of months ago. Now they've changed their minds because of some festival instead of a marriage ceremony. It's really sad to think money matters more to them than happiness!

A beautiful 18th century palace, with mural frescoes overhead as you sleep. One of the best historical B&Bs.
