The only thing to keep in mind is the open-plan bathroom, which offers limited privacy. It was fine for us as a couple, though it might bother other guests. The location is excellent, just behind Piazza delle Erbe. Our room was extremely clean and had the essentials, including shower gel, shampoo, a hairdryer, and kettle. It was cleaned daily, with towels changed regularly. Breakfast was plentiful and well organized, and the owner was especially kind, welcoming us courteously despite our last-minute booking. Highly recommend the place.

The real letdown was breakfast. We could barely get anything: the other couple had arrived first and left nothing for us, although there was so little food and choice that it wasn’t really their fault. For a place charging one hundred euros a night, I’d expect at least something extra, maybe a typical local dessert, especially with so many around. We ended up going out for breakfast, which was really disappointing. The gentleman at reception was genuinely kind and knowledgeable, the one clear positive for me. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the B&B is in a great location. There’s little real separation between bedroom and bathroom, just a glass door that gives no privacy. Some couples might not mind sharing everything, but others, or other kinds of travelers, could. The owner practically lives in the apartment, which has been divided up and turned into a B&B.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and to be fair, everything worked and was clean. Still, I strongly advise against staying here. We could only reach our room through the entrance door of a private apartment. The radiators couldn’t be adjusted, or rather, they wouldn’t turn on at all. The apartment is above a supermarket, and delivery noise started at 6:00 AM. The furnishings were the cheapest kind. The worst part was the owner banging loudly on the door at 9:30 PM to make her presence known. I couldn’t understand her, so she used her phone to translate a request, but only translated one way, and was very pushy. As far as I understood, she asked whether we wanted an Italian or continental breakfast. I said continental, but given her arrogant manner, and the fact that I don’t understand Italian, we only got sweets. Nothing like this has happened to me in all my many overnight stays.

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The breakfast was mediocre and made without care, the small bed was uncomfortable, and the ensuite bathroom offered no privacy. Above all, the owner was incredibly rude.
