The room was old but okay. The manager in the lobby was nice and helpful, and the Ferrari museum is only about a 10-minute walk away. That was the one real positive. The bathroom smelled bad, and the shower was filthy, with black stuff everywhere. Water was even coming out of the wall. Breakfast cost 7 euros per person, but there were dead flies in the orange juice. The tray for the drinking glasses looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, with old crumbs and food all over it. Toasts with salami, ham, and cheese had been left uncovered with flies on them. The coffee tasted old. It was disgusting. At the restaurant, nobody mentioned that an English menu was available through a QR code. They handed us an Italian menu and seemed irritated while we used Google Translate to work out what to order. So much for warm, friendly hospitality.

We chose domus because it was near the Ferrari museum, but I’ve never had a worse hotel experience in years. We’d come all the way from India with our children, who were hungry, and couldn’t find vegetarian food nearby. We asked for hot water so we could make quick noodles, begged for it, and even offered to pay. They still refused. The man there was completely unwilling to help and was rude about it. I was shocked by how little consideration there was for foreign travelers with kids. Even the smaller hotels and bed and breakfasts we stayed at in Florence, Venice, and rome were much better. I’d never recommend this place.

There was no bath water or drinking water in the mini fridge in my room. The hotel doesn’t even charge a penny. I’d look for somewhere else.

I’ve never come across a hotel where you can’t shower because there’s no water. Apparently, that’s the case here if you’re on the second or third floor. I contacted them several times about it, but got nowhere.

The place was clean, but the hotel is old and needs renovating. Morning light came through the curtains, making it very hard to sleep. At checkout, there was nobody at reception, so we waited 10 minutes for someone to show up. For this standard of hotel, the price felt expensive.
