Breakfast was a really good buffet, served out on the terrace. The owner is a lovely woman, friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. My room was comfortable and had all the modern amenities I needed, including a fridge. It’s especially handy if you’re using public transport. The train station is a short walk away, and the bus that goes uphill to the old town stops nearby. You can easily walk to the port and beach too, but coming back means climbing a steep set of steps.

The garden around the property is beautiful, and getting around was easy: the port is about a 10-minute walk up steps, while Maratea's historic center and the area's lovely beaches are under a 10-minute drive away. We were treated so warmly by Valentina and Giusi all week. Add a lovely breakfast with a magnificent view of the Maratea sea, and we really didn't want to go home. We couldn't have asked for more.

We only stayed a couple of days as a couple, but we're already hoping to come back. Valentina was there for questions before and during our visit, and took care of everything from breakfast to the room. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and thoughtful touches included the courtesy kits and a well-stocked minibar. Breakfast was a dream for anyone who likes sweet things, with fresh homemade food on a pretty terrace overlooking Maratea harbor. Highly recommend.

We found the owners kind and helpful. The terrace has a spectacular view, and the B&B is in a peaceful spot about 10 minutes from the nicest beaches.
