The only really good things were the small garden with its gazebo and table, and the location, just a few minutes' drive from the island's most beautiful beaches. We were five people staying for a week, and it was difficult. The house was comfortable, but it lacked basic kitchen items like some pots and pans, tablecloths, and dish towels. Cleaning was seriously lacking, and reporting it brought no adequate solution. In August the house got very hot, and with no air conditioning or fan, it was hard to stay inside. We had to buy a fan ourselves.

The only thing I really appreciated was how quiet it was, and the patio was nice for eating outside. The parking area was spacious, though it could use a proper roof. Getting up to the Agave studio apartment meant climbing stairs, then dealing with a 35 cm step at the entrance. A wooden platform would have fixed that. Inside, it smelled badly of mildew, as if the place had been shut up for a month. It didn't seem cleaned, and the bedspread and sofa had a horrible moldy smell. The mini fridge leaked water most of the time. We called, an older man came and dried it, and that was all. The room was a normal size, but the mattress was basically nonexistent. I ended up with muscle pain and Brufen was the only answer. The bathroom was shocking, with poop left in it. The layout was so absurd you could shower while using the toilet, or the other way around. The wall facing the bed slanted out; after a drink it might look nicer, like being back at the No. 1 disco, but sober it was a negative flash. There was no air conditioning, which we knew, but it was hellishly hot inside. I asked for a fan three days earlier and it still wasn't there when we arrived. The manager went out and bought a small one right away. We didn't complain because we were on holiday and didn't want hassle. We even saw a wild boar behind the safety nets. Still, the advance for 10 days was gone. I've never stayed somewhere like this and wouldn't return. In my opinion, it shouldn't be rented as a studio apartment in that condition. Disappointed.

The September price for our 15-day stay was very good, and the complex sits among greenery in a central location. It was quiet and relaxing, with a lovely outdoor dining space. I don't usually have a garden, so I especially enjoyed that. We stayed almost two weeks in the cottage called "Agave," and the view was good too. There are about 20 steps to carry your bags up, plus an awkward step of roughly 30 cm to get inside. The house wasn't very clean and didn't have much cookware. The bathroom was the biggest problem: showering flooded the whole room, there were uncleaned red marks, probably limescale from the boiler, and the tap and bidet had no anti-limescale cap, so water splashed everywhere if left running. The toilet was dirty and looked very worn. One bedroom wall was diagonal rather than straight. A few improvements would make these apartments better. We had to overlook some details for the price, but it was still worth it.

Procchio is less than a 5-minute trip away, and there's parking on the property. The three-room apartment is excellent and in a strategic spot, with fairly spacious rooms. Just check with the property beforehand about cooling, since there was neither air conditioning nor a fan.

The outdoor area and location are the only real positives of the Mirto apartment. Its bathroom is badly run down, the taps are coated in limescale, and the toilet has a sewer smell.
