Civico 72

The owners were kind and helpful, and Civico 72 was a really pleasant place to stay. The apartment has been fully renovated, with a large, comfortable mattress that made for a great night's sleep. The kitchen and bathroom were attractive and well kept, and there's a little garden where you can have breakfast outside. A very enjoyable stay!

My guests were delighted with the property and had plenty of praise for it. When I visited, I could see why: it was newly built, modern, nicely furnished, and equipped with all the comforts. The two-room apartment worked perfectly, with a small kitchen that had everything needed, and the bathrooms were especially spacious and comfortable. The thing that stood out most was the spotless cleaning, which the excellent owner takes care of personally. I had felt unsure about booking a place where I wouldn't be staying myself, but that worry disappeared as soon as I first spoke with the courteous owner, who was always available. We stayed for ten days and felt right at home at Civico 72. Martano is a small town with all the services you need, and it's easy and affordable to find somewhere to eat, drink, and spend time together. The location also made it simple to explore Salento, on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. Alimini beach is about 20 minutes away, with Porto Cesareo a little farther on. Lecce, Otranto, Torre dell'Orso, and the Grotta della Poesia are all within reach. Don't miss the Tuesday morning market, where there's all sorts on offer and the food is excellent. The house is brand new, peaceful, and just a short walk from the center of Martano in Lecce. It has an elevator and a wheelchair ramp. Our room was fresh, fragrant, comfortable, and unbelievably clean, with everything from a shoe rack and TV to a powerful hairdryer and a mini-fridge stocked with juice and cold water. We also had a private terrace with a table, chairs, and an umbrella, lovely for a meal or a look at Salento's starry sky. The spacious shower felt almost mystical, especially after a beach day or a visit to one of the many historic sites nearby. There are different options, including one-bedroom apartments with a kitchenette and outdoor area, as well as simpler rooms with beds, a bathroom, and a terrace. The owners are a delightful couple who really went out of their way to look after us. Barbara is special, meticulous, and attentive to every detail, from the complimentary rose at check-in to housekeeping every three days with fresh sheets and towels. Luigi welcomed us with classic but unexpected Salento hospitality. He was frank and helpful, and pointed us toward interesting restaurants, clubs, and places, including spots off the beaten path. Salento was even more exciting and enjoyable thanks to Barbara and Luigi's kindness. The quality for the price was very competitive, and I recommend considering a visit for an unforgettable holiday.
