There’s plenty for families here, with a pool, sports courts and a great kids’ playground. The camping area is spacious and full of trees, and the mobile homes and shared spaces were clean. It’s close to the city and all the facilities, with direct access to the beach. The staff are friendly, and there’s a full animation programme. I can definitely recommend it.

We’ve been coming here for 7 years. It’s a medium-sized campsite with great accommodations, right in the small town and close to the beach. The staff are polite and responsive, and the accommodations and public facilities are extremely clean. Outdoor facilities are good, though they get overcrowded easily. The entertainment is below par.

The Adra 2xLine mobile home at Riva Nuova camping site in Martinsicuro was new and well equipped, with a good bathroom, comfortable beds, air conditioning and a dishwasher. That was the one real plus of our stay. It was our family’s first time trying a mobile home at a campsite, and we’d hoped it would make things with the kids easier, especially getting to the beach and pool and sorting out meals. We didn’t find that to be the case. The place felt more interested in charging for requests than in making the stay enjoyable, though maybe that’s just how campsites are, or maybe we were unlucky. The only restaurant at Riva Nuova Camping Village in Martinsicuro is upstairs, accessible by steep stairs, so it’s not workable for families with newborns or pushchairs. The mobile home areas are mixed with the camping area. Ours was very close to the showers, and people coming and going could be heard late into the evening. The pool is old and too small for a village of this size. Staff don’t check people who reserve sunbeds long before they arrive. The playground has new, well-kept slides and rides, but the heat means it’s only usable in the evening. We also had to clean the accommodation ourselves before leaving, which I’d expected to be included at this price. Checkout at 09.00 was inconvenient. After leaving, we asked if we could use the pool for a few hours since we had small children, but were told no because of the maximum capacity.

We picked this campsite for the kids’ pool and its closeness to the beach. The water was a bit cold, perhaps because it was the last week of the season, but there were always sunbeds and umbrellas available at the pool, and we could keep the kids in sight since it wasn’t too busy. The staff were very friendly and still put on kids’ activities that last week. There weren’t any shows anymore, just games for adults. Our Baby-Mobile home worked really well for us: it had a baby cot, a changing area with a washbasin, and a kids’ table and chairs on the veranda. The veranda was a little small, but there’s a nice garden in front where the kids could play. The playground is well placed, and there’s a small one at the beach too. The beach is just across the road. There’s no beach bar there, but UMA beach bar is down the road and I’d recommend it. The one downside was how the last day was handled. Since the campsite closed on Sunday, staff started clearing away the sunbeds and umbrellas on Saturday, so we couldn’t spend the day at the beach or pool. If the site is open until Sunday, I’d suggest leaving the cleanup until Monday so guests can still use the beach and facilities. It’s a really nice, kid-friendly campsite and we’d recommend it.

The beach was great, and the electronic chips were good, though pointless. On our first day, 24/7/2022, intruders broke into four mobile homes, numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. Ours were at the camp’s edge by the fence, and the homes are owned by Victoria. They cut a hole in the fence and smashed a back window where the cameras don’t reach. The intruder was seen escaping in a vehicle. More than 1000 euros was stolen from us and our neighbors, including expensive watches, perfumes, bags and all the money from our wallets. The homes were trashed. The camp didn’t call the police and told us to report it ourselves. They replaced the window glass and fixed the hole in the fence after 24 hours, but we had to clean up the broken glass ourselves. The staff never apologized. There’s no safe in the mobile homes, so we recommend hiding your valuables. We have police reports, but the insurance didn’t reimburse us. The picture shows the window taped up.
