The apartments are huge and exceptionally clean, and the staff are genuinely lovely, attentive people. Getting here by water taxi was so easy, especially with bags, and the location is a dream. I really appreciated the complimentary snacks after long travel days, and being able to message the team on WA if anything came up. Whenever I’m in Venice, this will be my home away from home. The reception team were professional and wonderful, and the cleanliness was outstanding. Our room was bright, spacious and lovely, right in the city center. The Gelsomino was a two-room apartment and the most spacious room I stayed in in Italy. The interior was beautiful, and all the staff were kind and friendly. After check-in, a staff member came to the room with us and explained how everything worked and what services were available. The location was very good, about a 15-minute walk to Saint Mark’s square. The hotel could arrange a water taxi. They didn’t provide room cleaning during our stay, but that was fine, as there were enough amenities and towels. I stayed for two nights in August. If I come to Venice again, I’ll stay here. The location is wonderfully central, right beside the Academia bridge, one of just two bridges across the Grand Canal. Even so, it’s very quiet, with no problem from laundry like the lady mentioned in her review. Our dog loved the king bed, and the hotel is pet friendly. I chose this hotel for my birthday trip, and they made it unforgettable. There was complimentary champagne, a taxi, and a surprise trip to Murano island. They thought of every guest wish, even the unspoken ones. The snacks, drinks and welcome bubbles were complimentary too. All the five-star reviews are 💯 true! I won’t look for another hotel next time I visit Venice.
