The food was one of the best meals we had on vacation. We only stopped in for dinner, and the traditional Sicilian dishes, made with fresh home-grown ingredients, were really amazing. The portions were generous, the staff friendly, and the prices good. I'd definitely recommend eating there.

We came back a second time because we could hardly believe how good the food was, and the second visit was just as great as the first. If you're after traditional Sicilian cooking, you'll find it here. The portions are generous, and you can take the leftovers home.

There are plenty of tables and some grassy spots around the grounds where you can sit or stretch out with a book. We had a wonderful stay at Il Pozzo Antico, with friendly hosts, a lovely view of Etna, and great food at the restaurant in the evening. The restaurant doesn't open in the afternoon, but town has lunch options, including a nearby supermarket. We arrived by train at Mascali station, about a 20-minute walk away. There's a shortcut if you're willing to climb a fence. The beach takes around 25 minutes on foot, mostly along the main road, where the sidewalk isn't great, though the walk was very manageable.

It's quite a way from town, as you'd expect from an agriturismo. The host was very nice and helpful, and the view of Etna was lovely. It's also close to interesting places on Sicily's east side. We highly recommend it for the great food, especially the fresh pasta, tasty pizza and seafood.
