It was noisy both from the street and from other residents, and ventilation was poor. The shower barely trickled. The pool is only 1m deep and requires a bathing cap, though girls with long hair can let it dangle in the water. The shower beside the pool didn’t work, so the hygiene benefits seem questionable. Loud muzak played by the pool. The apartment complex is on the inland side of the road, not the beach side, despite Google Maps showing otherwise. The local street was dirty, with bins nearby. The “sea view” felt like something out of Fawlty Towers. Wi-Fi barely worked, and you have to set a static IP address on your device. If you enjoy having the Benny Hill theme tune blaring on a loop all afternoon and losing sleep, this is the place for you! We’d prepaid for a week but left after 3 nights for a nice hotel, and no refund was offered. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid.

Sleeping was the hard part. The apartment walls are so thin that noise carries from next door and outside, and a nearby straight road seems to attract young people racing cars and motorcycles at night. There are lots of Neapolitans and Sicilians staying there, and maybe that explains some of the noise, but it made it difficult to rest. If you do stay, a top-floor apartment may be worth the stairs for a little more separation, though you can only hope there aren't children nearby. Fondachello Village itself seems nice, with two three-storey buildings, underground parking, a pool, sports areas, a small show theater, and the sea and guest beach club just a short walk away.

The apartments are comfortable, and the shared areas are well looked after. There's parking on site and a pool, too. It's also a great spot near the sea, with the beautiful Ionian coast close by.

It looks like the place has been shut down as a hospitality business. As far as I can tell, the property has been abandoned for at least two years.
