The castle was breathtaking in person, and the photos don't do it justice. It felt like stepping back in time, with an authentic Italian feel, beautiful preservation, and so much history. The setting, views, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. We spent three unforgettable days at Castello di Montignano for our wedding week, with carefully planned events, wonderful moments, and impeccable hospitality. Giuseppe, David, Eva, and all the staff were so warm and thoughtful about every detail. They made us and our guests feel special, and went above and beyond for everyone who came through the castle doors. Our friends and family are still talking about it. The whole experience felt intimate, personal, and elevated, with every moment thoughtfully put together. The food from the welcome dinner through the pool party BBQ was incredible. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Choosing Castello di Montignano was easily our best decision. We had an amazing few days celebrating in Umbria, and the staff's kindness and professionalism made the whole experience. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and helped bring our plans to life. David deserves a special mention for his guidance, dedication, and attentiveness from our first viewing right through checkout. He gave us real peace of mind. Thank you so much, David! Eva was amazing too, making sure everything ran smoothly with the warmest smile. It rained a little on our wedding day, but the team handled it so well. Moving the reception indoors was seamless, and we could enjoy the day and night without stress. That calm, coordinated service says a lot. We keep reliving the wedding through our photos and videos, thanks to the impeccable service and breathtaking setting. We celebrated our wedding weekend on 26th April 2025, with 100 guests, and the whole place felt like home. People are calling it the best wedding they've ever been to. The team, Giuseppe, Eva, David, Cristina and everyone else, were amazing from beginning to end and truly cared about us and our guests all weekend. It was lovely having the same staff throughout. Our welcome night was a pizza evening inside the castle because it was raining, and it worked out so well: great food, drinks flowing, and a brilliant welcome for everyone. On the wedding day, the ceremony in the Hortus was magical. The sun was shining, the string quartet was special, and the flowers in bloom worked beautifully with what we'd added through our florist. The drinks reception in the pool park had class food, then dinner in the Pavillon was unbelievable. We were a bit worried what the Irish guests would think of the food, but everyone raved about it. There were two pasta courses followed by Beef Fillet, and seconds were offered to everyone at each course. The local wine we chose was unreal, and I've never had so many compliments on a wine selection. We had the cake display outside with fireworks, then danced all night in the Pavillon. On day three we had another delicious meal, a BBQ in the Pavillon, and drinks flowed all day. If you're considering booking your wedding here, do it and roll with the Italian way, they know what they're doing. We can't wait to visit again. The food across all three days was amazing and went beyond what we'd expected. My husband and I got married here in May 2023, after visiting the venue the year before and deciding it was perfect for our day. We had 30 family and friends staying in the castle, and the staff were incredible. We had everything we wanted, and nothing felt like too much to ask. Our guests loved their rooms, and the whole occasion was perfect from start to finish. It's a magical place for such a special event. I can't thank everyone enough for the experience.
