Hotel Caprice

Breakfast was fairly limited, just the basics if you usually have a sweet breakfast. Still, we had a pleasant stay. We were in the newer part of the hotel, in a spacious, very clean room with air conditioning. The hotel is only a few steps from the sea, and there's a small parking area inside. I would've liked somewhere in the bathroom to hang the towels.

I had a great stay here. It's a two-star hotel with breakfast, parking, and air conditioning. They give you two keys, one for the room and one for the private bathroom in the hallway.

The location and private parking were the good parts of our stay at Hotel Caprice. The room was extremely small and old, with furnishings that badly need updating. The bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable, with no opening window or adequate ventilation, so it felt stuffy and unhygienic. There was also constant noise from reception, only a few meters from our room. I didn't expect luxury from a two-star hotel, but I did expect basic comfort and some peace and quiet. I don't plan to return, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone hoping for a pleasant stay in Marina di Massa.

Free parking on site and a location close to the beach, town center, restaurants, and just about everything else made the stay worthwhile. The rate felt a bit high at €120 for a double room on a weekday, especially since we arrived at 7:30 PM and left before 9:00 AM. Still, the convenience of the location and parking made it worth it. The building is old, and the rooms are small with only the basics, which is what you'd expect at a two-star hotel. Our double room had a desk, chair, clothes rack in the closet, table fan, two bedside lamps, and a double bed. The small bathroom had a toilet, sink, and shower. For a two-star place, it was fine. Were we expecting spacious rooms and attention to detail?
