Getting breakfast packed up for us and left in the room the night before our early departure was such thoughtful hospitality. They also gave us a couple of taxi options when we asked. Just keep in mind there are a lot of steps to climb, especially with big luggage.

The old town view from our doorway was stunning, and Vento was a really cool cave room with enough space and a fairly large bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet with everything we needed, and the off-season price was very reasonable. The mattress felt quite stiff, though, and the heater was pretty loud all night.

We had the Deluxe Eder room, a family room with two double bedrooms. One of the rooms had a mildew smell that was unpleasant and unbearable. They said that was because it’s in a cave, but I seriously doubt every room in a cave hotel smells that way. I’d avoid it.

The bathroom was fabulous, about the size of my living room, with a corner shower and an oval tub in the middle. It was perfect for unwinding after a full day in the 35-degree sun. The room itself was fantastic too, decorated to fit the stone and cave setting, and it was easy to reach from the main road. The staff arranged a check-in time and gave us all the directions and information we needed about breakfast and nearby restaurants. Super recommended.

We hoped to book two rooms with nice views at Cinque Elementi, but they were full. Irene helped us find a nice apartment instead, with fantastic views like the ones at the hotel. Thank you very much 👍.
