BB La Casa Di Rosa

The windows did a good job of keeping noise out, and the blackout blinds were useful. Vito was very kind and friendly. The shower was good, the bathroom modern, and there were plenty of towels, coffee, water, and breakfast items, including homemade cake. The place was very clean and in a fantastic location. The air conditioning was a bit noisy and the mattress was on the soft side, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our two nights. We could also leave our luggage after checkout.

The double room was spacious and comfortable, though a few extra furnishings would have made it more so. Breakfast was good, especially the excellent homemade cake. The other breakfast items were packaged, but very good quality. The property is in a great spot for visiting the Sassi, just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Raffaele, our host, was extraordinary: warm, thoughtful, kind, and helpful. He gave us all the information we needed to make the most of Matera, including excellent restaurant recommendations. My wife, two friends, and I had a wonderful short getaway. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, right in the center and literally steps from the Sassi. We’ll definitely be back.

The best part was breakfast brought to the room, especially the excellent homemade cake made by Raffaele’s mother. The host was courteous and kind, and the room and bathroom were pleasant and very clean, just like in the photos. I stayed at Dimora di Rosa, practically in the historic center, and was lucky to find free parking right below the building. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Sassi of Matera.
