Casa Linda

Casa Linda made our time in Matera. Linda has such an eye for detail, and her taste for distinctive experiences comes through everywhere. I’ve stayed in many places during my travels, but this is one of the most nest-like and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, including one set in a real Tufo Stone cave, so you get the true feeling of sleeping in a grotta. The bathroom, with precious details in different materials across the walls and floor, has a rare sense of luxury. There’s a dining room where you can help yourself to a wonderful breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Several excellent restaurants are nearby, each with its own food specialties. Linda will gladly suggest one to suit your tastes.

The apartments are beautiful and full of atmosphere, right in the heart of the historic center. Matera is amazing, and this is an amazing place to stay.

Linda was so nice and brought croissants each morning, along with good advice on what to visit. Casa Linda also sits close to several very good restaurants and is centrally located for Matera's sights. There were three steps down just inside the front door, then another three toward the bathroom and second room. The place smelled amazing and was well stocked with snacks and coffee. The bathroom was one of the biggest we've stayed in so far in Italy. We loved staying here.

The owner was kind and helpful, and breakfast came with fresh croissants. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, clean, well-maintained apartment in the heart of Matera's Sassi. Recommended!
