We picked this place for its proximity to the trail to the cave houses. The views were even better than we expected, from sunrise through sunset, and the room was an excellent size with great amenities.

The suite has been tastefully redone, with marble and granite floors and an attractive, modern kitchen and bathroom. Its location is superb. Ivan and Angelo were warm and helpful, and Angelo drove us from the car park and brought us back there when our visit ended. I could happily have stayed for weeks!

Ivan made us feel right at home, and we had a wonderful stay. Our room was beautiful and unlike other B&Bs. From the bus station, the walk was about 0.8 miles, which wasn't too far. Taxis can drop you near a plaza very close to the place. I loved Matera. Thanks, Ivan! 🇧🇴🇧🇴

The valley views are breathtaking, with ancient caves and ruins visible from the doors and windows both day and night. Dimora Santa Bárbara feels like a fairy tale. The owner was so kind and the service was amazing. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with wifi, snacks, fluffy towels, and all the amenities.

We only stayed one night in the corner room, but the view was SPECTACULAR. The room was cute and clean. Ivan was so helpful, picking us up at the parking garage and giving us good directions for getting back to Rome. Matera is my favorite, and I'll definitely be back!
