Our two-night stay at Il Sassetto was perfect from arrival to departure. It was easy to get to all the attractions in Matera, and there were plenty of places to eat whatever you wanted. Thanks to the host for filling the fridge and getting all the breakfast food ready 🥰 I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Matera.

The apartment is beautiful, clean, and tastefully furnished, with parking right outside the front door. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the center. Sonia and Rosa were very kind and attentive to their guests.

The apartment is about 500 meters from the center and the start of the Sassi area, and its location is a real plus. Parking is right outside the front door. Inside, there's plenty of space, a mezzanine, and a small bathroom with everything needed, including a hairdryer. The fridge had treats like iced tea, water, yogurt, and juice. Breakfast included sweet and savory options, along with packaged croissants, taralli, and dried fruit. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. There was also a map in the pantry and restaurant suggestions from the owner, which you can trust. A great stay, highly recommended.

Rosa and Sonia made us feel so welcome, and the pantry was full of tasty local treats. The place is in a quiet, well-positioned spot. I'd definitely recommend it for a visit to beautiful Matera.

After two weeks in Puglia, we finally got a proper chance to unwind at Il Sasseto. The hospitality made it feel like staying at your grandmother's house, and it was clean and great value. Parking is easy in the grounds of the same building, just a few steps from the Sassi. The kitchenette has everything you need, and the host had left lovely food too. For Koreans coming to Matera, this is a must. Honestly the BEST Casa Vacanze in Matera, even in Puglia. MUST stay here!
